Chapter One

Nashville roots.

Brandan Wright grew up in Nashville, Tennessee — the oldest of three brothers in a middle-class household anchored by hard work. His mother taught school. His father worked a range of jobs. There was no family business to inherit, no shortcut to opportunity — just two things his parents insisted on: grades and grit.

The rule at home was simple: school came first. If your grades slipped — even to a B — the games stopped. All three Wright boys played baseball, basketball, and football year-round, from age four through their early teens. Work ethic wasn't taught in a lecture. It was demonstrated every weekend at practice, every early morning report card check.

"My parents didn't have a business background. What they had was work ethic — and that's what they put into us. Whatever we did, we did it all the way." — Brandan Wright
Chapter Two

Chapel Hill, then the league.

Brandan's grades — and his game — carried him from Nashville public school to a private high school and then on to the University of North Carolina. His time in Chapel Hill was short: one year. But he calls it "very, very eye-opening" — a compressed education in high performance, both in the classroom and on the court. At 19, he was drafted into the NBA.

Over twelve seasons in the league, he traveled the country, met an extraordinary range of people, and built the discipline that would define his second act. Recognition creates opportunity, but it also attracts people whose interests aren't yours. Brandan learned to be selective. When he committed to something, he committed 100%.

Chapter Three

Team Brandan Wright.

While still playing, Brandan started something that would outlast his basketball career — a girls basketball foundation called Team Brandan Wright. The mission is straightforward: help young female athletes earn college scholarships so they graduate without student debt. Approaching 15 years and around 200 girls, from fourth grade through rising high school seniors.

"At the end of the day, we want our girls to be able to get a college scholarship so they can get a free education. So they don't have thousands of dollars in student loans when they start a career." — Brandan Wright
Chapter Four

BR Consulting — the pivot.

When his playing career ended, Brandan went looking for the thing he could give everything to. He found it in government contracting. Not because it was flashy — because it was serious. It was varied. It was the kind of business where reputation, process, and follow-through matter more than flash.

BR Consulting won its first contract — a multi-million dollar prime award — inside its first year of operation. In an industry where most small businesses spend years chasing a first prime, that gave BRC something money can't buy: a track record.

"Winning that first one was huge. Now BR Consulting has a reputation for handling multi-million-dollar contracts. Our team isn't huge — but we can handle big opportunities." — Brandan Wright
Chapter Five

The standard, going forward.

Ask Brandan where BR Consulting is headed and he won't hand you a revenue target. He'll hand you a standard. A company federal buyers can trust — small contract or nine figures — because it shows up prepared, delivers exactly what was promised, and does it again on the next award.

Getting there, in his view, is the same equation that carried him from a Nashville house where grades came before the game, to Chapel Hill, to twelve seasons in the NBA. You don't fully control the outcome — but you have 100% control over the process.

"We just put the work in. We go through the right processes, and I think the results will come. We don't have control of most things — but you have 100% control of the process you put in beforehand."

Behind BR Consulting.

None of this happened alone. War Dogs Academy is where Brandan learned the fundamentals of federal contracting. Aliff Solutions is the back-office team that turns every opportunity into a signed award — capture, proposals, compliance, and delivery. It's how a lean company handles multi-million-dollar work.
